Dean of Students

The Office of the Dean of Students is responsible for the welfare of the students as members of the University community.
It extends assistance in solving personal, social and economic problems touching on students' lives.
The Office of the Dean provides students with a wide variety of services, including housing, a financial aid unit, the unit for learning disabilities, equal opportunities etc.

The office is located in the Frank Sinatra building.

Religious Activities at the University

Synagogues on the various campuses offer services regularly throughout the year. The Hecht Synagogue on Mount Scopus offers a variety of activities including lectures, symposia, and special programs for festivals, as well as a Beit Midrash program on different study levels in cooperation with Hillel. Some of the study programs offer scholarships.
At the Hecht Synagogue, the Coordinator of Religious Activities acts on behalf of the Dean of Students and provides religious services and counseling for Jewish students as well as members of other religions.

Sport Activities

There are three state-of-the-art sports centers on Hebrew University campuses: the Lerner Sports Complex on Mount Scopus, the Safra Sport Center at Givat Ram, and the Rehovot Sports and Leisure Center

These sports centers feature tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields and squash courts (Givat Ram), as well as the most advanced aerobic and weight equipment, and studios for movement and fitness classes (at extra cost). There are also indoor swimming pools, children’s wading pools, water slides for children at the Rehovot Sports Center, a track-and-field stadium (Givat Ram), and tennis and swimming classes. Clinics with dietitians, sports medicine specialists and physical therapists are also available, in addition to expansive lawns and sporting goods shops.

Students may purchase an annual membership or short-term entrance tickets at reduced rates.

Student Union

The Student Union (Agudat Hastudentim) represents the entire student body at the Hebrew University, including the Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovot. Among its aims and functions: representing the students before the authorities both inside and outside the University framework, advancing student issues, handling problems connected with studies, and organizing social activities.
